After-School Club Prospectus

We provide before school, after school and holiday care for children aged up to 11 years of age. This care is linked to Little Owls, which is run by a parent committee as a non-profit making registered charity.

We aim to provide children with both fun and educational activities whilst they are with us.

The room that houses the older children has recently been refurbished to better suit the age and size of those children. It now includes a fully working kitchen, television area and computer area. There is an out door area which is in the process of being landscaped, as well as our own garden we have use of the school playing fields and Forest School area.

Available resources
Painting, collage, printing, modelling clay, model making, television, video, construction toys, puzzles, board games, computers, cooking, books, music and story tapes, ball games, hoops, ropes, rackets, climbing frame, swing, carts

Hours of opening
The Breakfast club is open from 8am Monday to Friday.
The after school club is open from 3.10pm to 6pm.
The holiday club opens during the primary school holidays from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, except for one week at Christmas, Easter and May half term.
In August the nursery school closes for a summer break and the holiday club opens for approximately 5 weeks, opening times in August may vary.

Food
A drink and snack are provided for each child. At holidays times a packed lunch should be provided if your child is staying over a lunchtime.

Terms and Conditions
Age of admittance
The maximum age for children attending the breakfast, after school or holiday club is 11 years 11 months.

Collections
Parents should collect their children promptly at the end of holiday and after school club sessions. If someone other than a parent is to collect your child please inform a member of staff. Older children will only be allowed to leave the premises unsupervised if written permission is given beforehand. Late collections will incur a charge. Late pick-ups will incur a charge.

Parking and Entering Little Owls
Little Owls accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to persons, vehicles or property outside the nursery area. During school opening times please do not park on the school car park.

Absences
Please telephone if your child is going to be late or absent for whatever reason.

Fees
Fees must be paid in full, monthly in advance within 7 days of receipt of the invoice. Should your child be absent for a pre-booked session full fees will be charged.

One month's notice is required to terminate an after school, breakfast club or holiday club place. If a cheque fails to clear a charge of £10.00 will be made to cover bank charges.
