Place Based Interventions

Place Based Interventions is a partnership initiative designed in Shropshire to respond to national communication around best practice in the collaborative use of resources.

Place Based Interventions aims to work with communities, local services, partner organisations and other stakeholders to identify particular issues and problems at a community or sub community level. The initiative then works to try to solve problems by collectively designing new ways of delivering services, using resources differently to maximise outcomes.

There are currently projects based in the following areas:

  • Ludlow - focusing on the Sandpits area
  • Market Drayton - focusing on the Fairfields area
  • Oswestry - focusing on substance misuse
  • North East Shrewsbury - focusing on duplication in service delivery

Updates on the work taking place in these areas are included in the VCS Assembly newsletter and a link is emailed to all VCS Assembly members.
